Calvin and Hobbes was always my favorite comic when I was a kid, and it still is now that I’m a slightly larger kid. Looking back on some of these comics, I think it would be…interesting, shall we say, to see Calvin at the Writing Center. I think he could benefit from a few sessions here, though. Let’s take a look at some comics (additional comics can be found here):
In the example above, I think Calvin must have gotten his hands on a few academic journals; he’s not entirely wrong about certain circles of academia. Don’t forget: writing is all about communication! (So I don’t recommend taking Calvin’s advice here.)
Don’t get stuck in that bubble of last-minute panic like Calvin! We can help you at any stage of the writing process, including planning and pre-writing!
I wish grad school were this easy. One body paragraph does not an essay make.
Of course, Calvin isn’t the only comic character who might enjoy a trip to the Writing Center…
