You may have noticed that there was no Tuesday post this week…sorry about that, folks! But, don’t worry – the Writing Center staff was still hard at work. Director Michelle Hager and The Write Attitude editor Maria Judnick were busy presenting at the Young Rhetoricians Conference over the weekend.
Today, we’re filled with nostalgia here at The Write Attitude. This week the internet has been busy celebrating two big mainstays of many of our childhoods.

I’m sure I’m not alone in saying that Reading Rainbow was a huge influence on me as a child. While I loved to listen to my parents read to me, I loved LeVar Burton only a fraction less, much to their chagrin.
However, my parents didn’t mind too much – after all, they knew that reading at a young age really can make a difference:

Speaking of old friends…we couldn’t let this week end without referencing the 20th anniversary of the Harry Potter series. There were many, many tributes to the series, but J.K. Rowling herself kept it simple:
